Hey everyone! I'm a beginner and I'm a bit confused about reversals. My first guide book says a reversed card is always the opposite of its upright meaning, but I've read in other places that it can mean a blocked energy or an internal issue. What are your personal rules for reading reversals? Do you interpret them differently depending on the card or the spread?

It all depends on who you're reading for and the context of the reversed card in the reading. Example - if most of them are upside down, then perhaps you need to turn them the other way around for the reading to make sense. Reversals can also show the querant's fears - so ask yourself, is the person you're reading for nervous? If so, start again and shuffle the cards for them after taking a few deep breaths and focus on the question...what does ( the name of the person) need to know about ( what their inquiry is). There are no rules with reversals; trust your intuition as to how you read them. Blessings, dear sis-star!
