I've just completed a spell, and now I have some leftover herbs and candle wax. What is the proper way to dispose of spell remains? Do you return them to the earth, burn them, or something else? I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly.
If the spell was for release, banishment, or letting go:
➤ Wrap the wax in paper and bury it away from your home or throw it in the trash off your property. This symbolizes moving the energy far away.
If the spell was for attraction, love, or abundance:
➤ Keep a piece of the wax (if shaped) on your altar or bury it near your front door or a garden to let it “grow.”
Natural and biodegradable elements can often be:
Returned to the Earth: Bury them with gratitude (ideal for blessings or protection)
Thrown into running water: A stream or river carries the energy onward (especially good for release)
Burned and the ashes scattered: For finality and transformation (works well for closure rituals)
