Let’s Talk Divination: What’s Your Go-To Method for Tapping Into Spirit?

Divination isn’t just about predicting the future—it’s about gaining insight, clarity, and a deeper connection to your intuitive voice. There are so many ways to access that wisdom, and what works for one person may feel completely off for another.

Some use Oracle or Tarot cards. Others prefer pendulums, runes, tea leaves, or scrying. Maybe it’s dreams, astrology, or automatic writing that opens the door for you. Or perhaps you mix and match depending on the energy or question.

Divination is deeply personal. It’s not about doing it “right.” It’s about finding the tools that help you hear Spirit more clearly and trust what comes through.

So I’d love to know—what type of divination do you use most, and why?


Do you:

What a lovely question! I think numerology is a wonderful place to start, and yes, I do believe the different methods can complement one another. Sherre uses numerology along with Tarot and astology in her readings.

Personally, I use whatever comes to me at the time. Sometimes it's an intuitive thought or feeling, sometimes it's direct contact with Spirit, and other times I'll reach for my Tarot or Oracle cards. I've even been known to get the pendulum out now and again!

After more than 40 years of doing readings, I've learnt not to put too many rules around how Spirit communicates. I just go with the flow and trust what comes through.

And please don't let the number of Tarot cards put you off! You don't need to memorise all 78 cards before you begin. Start by pulling one card a day, looking at the picture and noticing what you feel before reading its meaning.

That's actually one of the reasons I created my 6th Sense Connection Oracle Cards. I wanted a deck that felt welcoming and easy to work with, especially for beginners. There are no scary or intimidating images, and the pictures themselves are designed to trigger your intuition, helping you pick up on thoughts, feelings and impressions before you even look at the card meanings.

I've always believed that cards, pendulums, books and other divination methods are simply tools. The real magic is in learning to listen to that quiet inner voice and trust your own intuition.
